Version 1.8 of DeliciousSafari is available. Feature wise, this release is identical to 1.7 except that it also works on Snow Leopard.
However, Tiger is no longer supported in 1.8. If you’re using Tiger or Safari 3, you can download 1.7 here.

I have a really stupid question. I’ve used Firefox for a long time, mostly because the stuff available for it haven’t been available for Safari. Lately, I noticed that stuff like adblock etc. have been made available and they even seem to work, so I’m now back to Safari.
Noticed DeliciousSafari which is just what I need. What prevents me from putting out the 10 USD is that I can’t figure how can I add my selected tags on the bookmark bar, so they would act like folders where I can just check my tagged stuff.
Haven’t found this in any discussion I’ve googled in, but maybe I just can’t google with the right keywords. So anyway, I can do the “manage favorite tags” to select what tags I want to see, but the only thing they do is become visible under the Delicious-header in the top bar. How can I make them visible as bookmarks underneath the location bar?
Hi Frank,
DeliciousSafari cannot currently show bookmarks in the bookmarks bar. Aside from search, it’s one of the most often requested features. I hope to have it in the future but have to overcome some technical hurdles first.
Cool. Thanks for the update. Installed and working well for me.
Issue … when the toolbar icon is removed, it is added again if Safari is restarted….. can we permanently remove the toolbar icon?
lajun, that should work fine. Please contact me off list and I’ll help you troubleshoot this issue.

How do I uninstall DeliciousSafari? Since installation Safari won’t access any URLs. The Uninstall app bounces in the dock but doesn’t seem to do anything real.
Spotlight only finds the disk image I downloaded.
Sorry I’m having trouble. It looks like a great app in concept, and one I could really use, but unfortunately it isn’t working for me.
Hi Bill. DeliciousSafari obviously shouldn’t prevent you from accessing web pages (that wouldn’t be very useful!).
As for the uninstall app, it doesn’t do a good job of telling you when it’s finished (which I plan on fixing). When you run it you will see an Uninstall button. Press it. After you give it permission to continue, it will remove DeliciousSafari.
But I’d like to help you work through your original problem. I’ll e-mail you or you can contact me directly here:

I love Delicious Safari. So I did a wee dance of joy when I saw it was updated to work with Snow Leopard. But I’m having a curious problem; it keeps “disappearing”. I’ve installed it several times, and it works fine, and then I reboot, and the menu option has gone.
Anyone else had this issue??
I was able to correct functionality by:
* quitting Safari
* trashing the /Users//Library/ApplicationSupport/DeliciousSafari folder and contents
Safari and DeliciousSafari worked as expected afterword.
My apologies for the false alarm. I suspect I’m having issues with a memory upgrade I just had performed on my Mac Mini.
Congratulations for this awesome plugin!. I have a question, is it possible open all links in a tag in tabs?
HI gimco, opening in tabs is not possible. I’ve looked into adding it but haven’t figured it out yet. I’d like to get it in a future release, but have no definite plans at this point.
Hi Phil,
Sorry for the delayed response, I somehow missed approving your comment in my moderation system.
Try repairing your file permissions. You can do this with Disk Utility, located under Applications/Utilities. Specifically, the file permissions on /Library/LaunchAgents are probably bad. When you run Disk Utility to repair file permissions, let me know if you see /Library/LaunchAgents get fix. If you do, reboot.
If this is indeed the problem, I’ve fixed it in the next release of DeliciousSafari (v1.9), which I’m going to release today.
Are there any plans to integrate the Delicious ‘Send’ feature? I often need to Send to people in my network.
Thanks.
Hi Brad,
At this point there are no plans to integrate the Send feature.
