Bookmarks Pro 2.0 Released

Bookmarks Pro 2.0 SearchBookmarks Pro 2.0 is now available on the iTunes App Store. This version lets you:

  • Search tag and bookmark titles
  • Open bookmarks in a built in web browser (or Safari, if you prefer)
  • Browse contacts that have URLs

This version also includes several bug fixes and rotation has been removed. I apologize to the customers who purchased Bookmarks Pro 1.1 without realizing it was exactly the same as the free version aside from not having advertisements. I failed to properly inform you in the application description. However, with the new features added to version 2.0, I believe Bookmarks Pro is now far superior to the free version.

    Very good software!
I use the free version with satisfaction. It would be great if existing user of the desktop edition could had a special price…

    Thanks,
    Max

Thanks Max. I did want to make Bookmarks free for DeliciousSafari users, but Apple’s App Store doesn’t allow me to offer coupons.

I bought it and I like it but it would be 100% better if you could view your notes as well as the link. Is there any chance of that option in the future?
    thanks

  4. doug says:

@Neil I’ll consider that for a future release. Thanks for the feedback.

I’ve been using the free version for ages & until yesterday had no problems at all. Now however, the app won’t load my bookmarks or tags. The Safari bookmarklet does still work though. Is this a problem you’re already aware of? I’m using an iPhone 3GS running the latest firmware.

@11220 So far, 2 other customers have reported a similar problem. However, the free version didn’t work for them either. Please contact me off list as I’d like to solve this problem.

    Hi,
I was wondering why rotation was removed. I’d like to be able to use this app instead of Safari but seeing the web pages in landscape mode is essential.

  9. doug says:

    Hi Alex,

Rotation was dropped because it is time consuming to develop and we wouldn’t have been able to ship Bookmarks in the same timeframe had we decided to support rotation.

That said, I agree that it is useful, especially while browsing. I’ll create a ticket to track this. Perhaps we’ll be able to address it in a future release, but there are no plans at the moment.
